Instrument and Electrical Control Engineer |

The firm provides project definition and preliminary design, detailed engineering and construction, plant commissioning and start-up, operations and project management.
ATEA is offering a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for an experienced Instruments & Control Engineer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager (EM) the position is based in Shanghai, however, frequent domestic and international travel to meet project needs may be necessary.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and selection of instrumentation/equipment used in process industries including power, high temperature exhaust, chemical and industrial wastewater facilities;
2. Prepare for cable schedule of control and power
3. Design the layout of cable tray and conduit
4. To work as lead electrical engineer on projects and should be capable of independently handling electrical and instruments installation engineering responsibilities
5. Use of codes, standards and practice applicable to the design and installation of instruments (eg API, ISA, ANSI, AGA, ISO and IEC codes etc.)
6. Co-ordinate all instrumentation design and development work in connection with new projects and modifications to existing installations and provide advice during construction/equipment, commissioning and start-up and ensure compliance with design;
7. Provide professional advice in the selection of equipment and materials for new projects and replacement in existing installation;
8. Production of documentation and packages for procurement;
9. Discipline check of designs and documentation;
10. Experience in HAZOP / HAZAN reviews;
Requirements:
1. Special experience of site electrical installation
2. Require minimum 5 years relevant working experience in a project environment;
3. Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering, control and instrumentation engineering or mechanical/chemical engineering with special instrumentation course or similar background;
4. Good knowledge of international codes, standards and regulations;
5. Good written and spoken English.
